Funeral services for Martha Nell Boleyn Robertson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with David Flowers, Michael Rickenbaker and Family Members officiating. Burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens. The family received friends at Crook Avenue from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
She was born June 30, 1954, in Selmer, the daughter of J.M. and Willie Opal (Bill) Mace Boleyn. She graduated in 1972 from Adamsville Jr./Sr. High School. She worked at Garan in Adamsville and Salant & Salant in Henderson.
In 1980, she married Don Robertson. They made their home in Henderson. Along with her husband, she operated his family’s business, the Trading Post Grocery in Henderson, from 1990 till 1995. Later, she worked at Quinco Mental Health Center until her retirement. She was a member of Christ Community Church in Henderson.
She cherished the memories of love, sacrifice and responsibility observed from her mother, the value of hard work gained in the cotton fields around Adamsville and developed a relationship with her Lord and Saviour, led by the example of her church family in Adamsville and later in Henderson.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Jason of Henderson and Alan (Heather) of Lowell, Ark.; six grandchildren, Mellony, Alexandrea, Whitman, Christopher, Harrison and Shiloh; four sisters, Winnie, Sue, Patsy and Robbie; two brothers, Ronnie and Roger; and numerous nieces and nephews, several that she felt like they were her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jerry Mac, Garry, Benny, and Larry Neal.
