Johnnie Marie Morrison Gaddy, 93, of Henderson passed away Sept. 22, 2026, at Southern Oaks Assisted Living.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating.
Burial followed at Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family received friends at Crook Avenue on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. service time.
She was born Henderson on March 10, 1933, to the late John Richard and Ethel Serena Davis Morrison. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1952. She worked at Slant and Slant for a period later working at Patterson Grocery Store. She retired from Freed-Hardeman University as a registration clerk.
In 1958, she and Ed married and made their home in Henderson. He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 2020.
She loved shopping with her sister, Judy. She enjoyed spending time with both of her sisters. She was a devoted caretaker and was loyal to her mother, Ethel, and visited her every day, never missing a day. She loved her grandkids and her family dearly.
She is survived by a son, Jeff (Ann) Gaddy of Henderson; daughter, Stephanie (John) Doster of Louisville, Ky; one sister, Judy Patterson; three grandchildren, Peyton (Matthew) Atkins, Drew Doster and Molly (Nick) Chenoweth-Gaddy; and one great grandchild with on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Joyce Hooper; and two brothers, Richard and Jerry Morrison.
