In addition to the Governor’s race and the US House of Representatives, voters will see three constitutional amendments on the ballot. The first amendment listed on the ballot makes a change allowing courts to hold a defendant without bail before trial in the case of grievous offense punishable by the death penalty. The second Amendment on the ballot adds text that prohibits the legislature from placing a state property tax on personal property. The third amendment on the ballot provides additional rights for crime victims.
