Platt finishes in top 10, Lions in eighth

The Freed-Hardeman University Lion golfers hit the road for the Indiana University East Fall Shootout where they finished in eighth place after shooting a combined 629 (+69). The Lions did great on the short holes, tying for a tournament-best 3.38 on par-3 holes.
Cash Piatt led the FHU golfers after shooting 74 (+4) on the par-70 Delaware Country Club in his first round. Dropping a birdie on the par-4 11th hole, Piatt carded 13 pars. Piatt earned a birdie on the same hole in his 76 (+6) second round to finish with 150 (+10) to tie for 10th place.
Ben Sebilian had a set of birdies in the first round, one on the par-4 third hole and a second on the par-3 16th to finish his first round with 74 (+4). In his second round, a birdie on the par-5 15th hole helped him to an 83 (+13) to tie for 22nd place with a two-round 157 (+17).
After shooting 82 (+12) in the first round, Cameron Long trimmed his second round total by six strokes to score 76 (+6) after earning birdies on the par-4 third and 17th holes and the par-3 14th. His two-round total of 158 (+18) gave him a share of 26th place.
Brady Webb carded an 86 (+16) in the first round with a birdie on the par-4 13th hole. In his second round, Webb’s birdie on the par-4 10th hole helped him score 78 (+8) to finish in a tie for 41st place with 164 (+24)
Braden Riddle wrapped up FHU’s team scoring with a 94 (+24) in the first round before a birdie on the par-3 14th gave him 84 (+14) to end in 59th place with 178 (+38).
Competing as individuals, Landon Mobley landed in a tie for 47th place while Jack Elrod ended in 60th. Mobley had a birdie on the par-4 third hole in the first round while Elrod’s birdie came on the same hole in the second round.
