Brooks stresses importance of school climate

Gerry Brooks spoke to Chester County Schools’ academic staff Thursday, July 24, stressing the importance of positivity and improving the climate at school. Brooks shared tips and tricks through a number of personal anecdotes, props and video clips. An encouraging word, positive involvement or a favorite snack can go a far way toward improving a coworker’s day, he said, which in turn improves the climate culture of the entire school, and therefore improving the experience for the students as well.
Brooks is a veteran educator in Lexington, Kentucky. His educational experience includes six years in the classroom, two years as an intervention specialist, and 12 years as an administrator. He is a passionate public speaker whose focus is on encouraging and helping teachers improve their instructional abilities. He also has a desire to help administrators successfully lead their staff.
