The Chester County High School Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis teams both defeated Scotts Hill in tennis action Monday. The girls lost in singles play 3-5 but came back in doubles, winning 3-0 for an overall score of 5-3.
In singles play, Claire Summers defeated Julie Hampton 8-3; Alyssa Lyons defeated Emma Johnson 8-5.
Hallie Lockridge lost to Haley Carter 5-6 (retired), Abbie Greene lost to Savannah Whitaker 5-8; Camryn Connor lost to Bella Jones 5-8, and Taylor Walters defeated Angel Crawford 6-1.
The doubles teams of Lochridge and Lyons defeated their opponents 8-5. Green and Connor won their match 9-7 while Summars and Gentry won 6-3.
The boys team shut out Scotts Hill 7-0 in their game Monday.
In boys singles, Lane Paton defeated Patrick Lewis 8-5; Luke Melton won his match 9-8 (7-2) to Marcus Bielinski; Raiden Harvey scored 8-0 over David Whitaker; Brady Wells defeated Fenner Wilson 8-0; Jack Rudder won over Mylan Wilson 8-1 and Ian Harris defeated Enoch Woolard 8-6.
The doubles team of Patton and Melton won their match 8-4 while the team of Harvey and Landon Ketchum came out on top 8-2.
