Tennessee ranks no. 9 worst state for teachers

After conducting an in-depth analysis, the scholarship website Scholaroo has released its 2022’s Best and Worst States for Teachers. This study is pertinently important as its one of the first to dissect which states favor or discourage educators in a post-pandemic world.
Based on the analysis of 42 metrics organized into five key indicators — Career Accessibility, Salary and Compensation, Work Benefits, Work Environment, and Student Performance — the 2022 Rankings showed that Tennessee ranks no. 42 in the nation.

Washington, New York, and Rhode Island top the list, and the states that are lagging behind in empowering teachers are Arizona, Louisiana, and West Virginia.
