Christmas decorations have been put up at the park. The senior citizens of Silerton appreciated Glenn Stack, Heather Naylor, Stan Rush and “Junior” Brown for their generous help. A good day of hard work and laughs. Between sodas, cashews and cookies, workers had a good time but were zapped of energy by the end. Thank you to Bolivar Electric Authority for hanging the lights on the light posts along Highway 125 and Fire Tower Road.
Silerton Baptist Church packaged 100 missionary shoeboxes. The Church will be provided with tracking information for when they are delivered all over the world. November 23 will be the date for the Thanksgiving meal directly after church service. Please bring a dish of your choosing. Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4:30 p.m. will be the church’s Christmas party. Prayers for Joe Stack, Judy Dillard (who is now back home) and Josh Simer are requested. Prayers also requested for Gwen Cox and Raylene Jacobs from Piney Grove Church.
Grady Stack enjoyed his last camping trip to Pickwick Park for this year. Despite lower than average temperatures, he endured the cooler temperatures and was able to do a little fishing.
