Chair yoga at Silerton Baptist has paused for July. This popular weekly exercise and strengthening class will resume in August.
Anita Lambert traveled to Waterbury, Conn., with the Sanford Hill Baptist Church Mission Team No. 1. Sanford Hill Bible Church leads the Vacation Bible School part of day camp for Waterbury Baptist Ministries. This was the seventh year that Sanford Hill Baptist Church has participated (one year was virtual because of COVID). Anita commented that they have seen the attendance grow from an average of 12 attendees during one week to an average of 42 attendees in two weeks. Anita stated, “Each year, we fall in love with the children and want to bring them home with us. The blessing we receive from this ministry is overwhelming. We start looking forward to next year when we get home. Pastor Maner, his family, and Waterbury Baptist Mission Church members have become our family. Team No. 2 started their week on Monday, July 14. Team members will all share our testimony about the trip at a future church service. As a Believer, sharing the love and story of Jesus is our mission. Plant the seeds while they are young and pray. God will water those seeds. I thank God for allowing me to go.”
Frankie and Mary Lynn Lambert just returned from a lengthy road trip. First stopover was in Toledo, Ohio, to pick up Frankie’s daughter. The second stop was in DeMotte, Ind., to visit Frankie’s sister-in-law. Next stop was in Ames, Iowa, to visit their grandson, and then it was back to Toledo to drop off Frankie’s daughter. The Lamberts arrived safely back in Tennessee Sunday. In spite of being many miles of travel, they enjoyed visiting with family. In other vacation news, Grady Stack, Mary Lynn’s brother, has enjoyed camping and walking the campgrounds at Pickwick this summer as well as riding his bicycle and reconnecting with old acquaintances.
Please pray for Woody (Kirk Wood) and his brother Brett. He will be traveling to go see Brett who is dealing with some health issues.
