Jamie and Marcus Fry were the guests of Gilbert Lee and Francis Stack at the Hickory Grove Cemetery Decoration Day. It was a large turnout with plenty of great conversation and delicious food. Hickory Grove Cemetery was established in 1870 and precedes the Silerton Baptist Church Cemetery. The driveway was newly asphalted and looked great. Joe Stack took out a lot of fallen trees. It is a credit to the community that attention is still given to the cemetery, especially when considering there is no longer an active church affiliated with it. As many there mentioned, this is a grand opportunity to visit friends and loved ones that they have not seen for at least a year or more. Marcus discovered two close Fry relatives buried there and met a whole lot of Rushes (above and below ground).
Ricky and Jennifer Wilson and family visited in Kansas for a few days.
Ed Burnett would appreciate your prayers as he is recovering from shoulder surgery. Ed and Betty have made their home in Huntsville, Ala., to enjoy their grandchildren.
Please continue your prayers for Robert Fry as he recovers from his treatment.
A reminder that chair yoga is 10 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at Silerton Baptist church. Light weights are being introduced, and if there is enough interest, a Saturday class might be added.
