The Chester County Rescue Squad led a vehicle rescue and extrication class Saturday, May 16. CCRS Captain Dillon Faulkner said the event was organized to better facilitate departments’ working together on scene and to ensure that each agency is able to support one another and provide assistance when needed.
“Training like this is essential in helping all of our departments work more effectively together on emergency scenes, regardless of agency affiliation,” stated Faulkner. “The professionalism, teamwork and dedication shown by everyone involved truly reflect the commitment each department has to serving our communities.”
Participating agencies included The Henderson City Fire Department, Chester County Fire Department, Enville Fire Department, Chester County Rescue Squad and Milledgeville Fire Department. Faulkner expressed gratitude to all agencies involved, including the support and assistance of Medical Center EMS, Chester County First Responders and Hi-Way Wrecker, as well as the use of classroom facilities at the City of Henderson Fire Department.
“It was great to see multiple agencies come together with a shared goal of learning and improving together,” Faulkner said.
