Ortiz in the top-10, Lady Lions finish regular season

In their final tuneup before the Mid-South Conference Championships the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions jumped one spot on the leaderboard after their second-round score of 348 (+60) helped them to a combined 704 (+128) to finish in fourth.
Maria Ortiz finished in a tie for ninth place after carding a 90 (+18) in the second round highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 14th hole. Her two-round total of 173 (+29) led the Lady Lions.
Just behind her were Riya Key and Reagan Malone who shared 11th place with a two-round 174 (+30). Key had the best improvement between rounds by shaving off eight strokes to score 83 (+11) in the shotgun second round, starting right by carding a birdie on her first hole of the day: the par-3 third. Malone cut off four strokes to score 85 (+13) in the second round with six pars.
Ansley Pratt’s 184 (+41) saw her finish in a tie for 23rd place. In the second round she carded six pars to finish at 90 (+18). With a combined score of 189 (+45) Maggie Crouch’s par-4 18th-hole birdie helped her score 96 (+24).
As an individual Harper Shelton scored 111 (+39) to finish in 34th place with an aggregate 214 (70).
