Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The temperature Sunday was 53 degrees, and the sky was gray. I hope everyone is well. The flu and a stomach virus have been floating around along with the ever lurking COVID. Please be sure to wash your hands often. Sneeze or cough into your elbow if you have no tissues. Definitely stay home if you have a temperature.
People are in a shopping frenzy for Christmas. The traffic in North Jackson is heavy. Please be careful. We have bought a few things and have a few more things to get. Our tree is up, and I tried to find some snow in a can. I called every store in town with no success. A very kind person gave me a can today. YAY! I came home and sprayed half a can on our tree, and it looks even prettier. Thanks to the sweet gesture that made our tree even prettier.
We had a good service at Friendship Church Sunday morning, and the Christmas music was very pretty. We welcome visitors and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
Happy birthday to Chastity King and Jan Haskins, 12-13, and Lauren Johnson, 12-17.
Happy anniversary to Charlotte and John Webb, 12-17.

“I said a Christmas Prayer for You” by unknown - “I said a Christmas Prayer for You because the season’s near. I didn’t ask for riches but for gifts so much more dear. I asked for joyful gatherings with your family all around, And for carols to inspire you with their old familiar sound. I asked for quiet moments in your heart on Christmas morn, For a special time to celebrate the Savior who was born…I asked for friends to send their best that you might know they care. I asked for peace, and love and hope, and I know God heard my prayer.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
