Here at Chester County High School, the senior class is very busy with graduation nearing. They will be hosting the annual Womanless Beauty Review pageant this coming Friday, April 22. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. at Willams Auditorium, and admission is $5. During this event, males dress up in dresses and makeup and put on a show for anyone to see. They will treat it just like a normal pageant, and the winner will be crowned with the title of “Mr. Henderson.” The winner will hold this title until next year when they will present the crown to the next winner down the line. We hope to see you there!
The senior class is also fundraising for Project Graduation right now. Project Graduation is an event hosted by parents directly following graduation. It provides a safe place for seniors to celebrate their accomplishments. To help support this cause, you can buy an eight- to nine-pound Boston Butt from any senior for $40. Pick up will be May 5. For more information, call the high school at any time at 989-8125.
In sports news the Track and Field team’s season is almost over. The team is coached and led by Coach Trent McManus and Assistant Coach Leah Arnold. Nearing their own end are seniors TJ and Talayeah Arnold, Tucker Allen, Alex Bolton and Samuel Hannis. The team has competed in many different races, placing well in each one. The team will make one last push for the Sectionals Meet, the competition where different teams and athletes will compete to make it to the State Championship. The State event will be held later in May. Wish them luck on their journey.
