School is back in session! Chester County High School students returned to school from winter break on Tuesday, Jan. 3. With the new semester, comes the new year, and with the new year, comes new opportunities. Events wise, the annual Winter Ball is on Jan. 29. Along with that, students can look forward to the Mr. Henderson Pageant, a fundraiser where men dress up as pageant girls and participate in their own type of competition. The theatre department’s spring play, Cinderella started auditioning on Jan. 8, with show dates set in the spring. Lastly, the Senior Prom will take place this coming spring as well. More details on those events will come at a later date.
In the sport’s side of things, the basketball teams are both well underway in their respective seasons. There are still 10 basketball games left in the season, with one at home this coming Friday night, Jan. 14, against the Crockett County Cavaliers. The track and field team will be having their tryouts very soon. Baseball and softball have also started their practices. For more information, stay tuned in the coming weeks as well.
I would like to thank the city of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
