Hello to all from this little corner of the world. It was sunny with a slight breeze on Saturday, and the sky was a medium blue. I am very happy the temperatures are better. There is an increased chance of rain next weekend. We have noticed the farmers are harvesting their crops, and dust is flying. The first week of October, the temperatures are supposed to drop into the 70s. YAY! Of course, I could live with 70s year round, even 80 would be nice, but Mother Nature belongs to God, and He knows how everything should be for His purpose. I am just thankful to be here to enjoy it all, good or bad.
Congratulations to Mckenzie and Trey Haywood on the arrival of their second child, a boy named Oliver Ren. He has a big brother, John Randolph Haywood IV a.k.a. “Odin.” His grandmom is Monica Taylor with Mark Lenow as Papa, and Sue Williams is great-grandmother. Happy days ahead continue!
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions they fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23

I hope everyone had a great time at the Chester County BBQ festival. I know it is a lot of work, and I hope you enjoyed the fruits of your labor. Next up is the West TN State Fair from Oct. 15-24. I am glad we have it here now. I sure hope the weather is good the days it is here. Now, if we could have a tractor pull again! This city girl LOVED it!

“Sometimes we don’t want to heal because the pain is the last connection to what we have lost” – Rumi. I do believe this and understand this, but in time with prayers and patience, God will help us to come away from the sadness and into life again. It will never be the same again. We will be different because the loss has made us different. There is no timetable for grief, and each person is different as their relationship with the loss is different.
I pray all of you will have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I’d truly appreciate any news. People from here and those that have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home. Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
