Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Saturday was a good day here on the mini farm. I really did not think we would need to mow again, but alas, we will. The grass is thin but plentiful. I am elated that the temperatures will begin dropping around Wednesday-Thursday this week. We have had a long, HOT, DRY summer. I sure hope the winter does not follow the same path with cold and snow/ice. We can expect a higher electric bill this month and then maybe a little reprieve before winter sets in. I did see one hummingbird Saturday.
Remember that the BBQ Festival will be this weekend, Sept. 25-26. I hope the weather stays good. I also hope we actually have a good fall season, not a fly by night one. Fall is my favorite time of year, and it was my mother’s. We will also try to put fall flowers out on Nick’s grave. We usually put some for spring/summer and then fall and Christmas.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. “Dear God, heal every hurting heart, restore every weary soul, and remind us that You are near.”
