Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The skies were light blue with white clouds on Sunday. The temperature was 94 degrees with a heat index of 112 degrees as I write this at 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon. The next few days are expected to be this hot or hotter. Cooler weather usually does not come until late September or October. Well, we are at least preparing to enter August. I do not see how crops will survive, but God has sent rain. Prayers to all the farmers out there and those who work in the weather. Take frequent breaks, drink plenty of water or electrolyte drinks. Seek shade. Protect those pets. Give them plenty of water and shade and take them inside if possible. We will all get through this together.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. Prayers are with you all.
Chester County schools will be starting next week. Aug. 3 will be a half day for some, and all students will be returning Aug. 4. We will be in the last week of July, and many will be getting school supplies, clothes and such to start the year out. I hope and pray each student treats others as they want to be treated. There is always someone that is ugly to others, and guess what? They are usually unhappy in their own life. Do not let bullies get to you. Tell them you are a child of God and leave it there. I will pray for the students and faculty, and I challenge each person reading this to do so. It is hard to adapt sometimes to critical people. We do not know what others’ home life is like either. Young people’s feelings are so tender, and growing up is not easy. I had some bad experiences in school, and I am 72 and still remember them. They were very hurtful. Protect those young minds and hearts. Thanks in advance.
