Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Sunday was a beautiful day. It was sunny with blue skies and an occasional breeze. The trees are continuing to “green up.” We have beautiful white dogwood trees growing wild in the woods. I do not think our azaleas are going to do well this year after the ice/snow we had along with frigid temperatures. The next article will be in April. We are in a drought, and I wonder if April showers will bring May flowers. What do you think?
The Sunday coming up is Easter. Think of everything you are thankful for and tell God you are thankful. We can be thankful Jesus came to earth to teach us about His Father and ours, how we should live and what He stood for. Love, total perfection. Love beyond understanding. Non-judgmental love. Remember how He suffered for us. The agony He felt, even He asked His Father if He could let this cup pass from Him, but it was not in the plan set in place from the beginning. Love God and stay in Faith and Belief that He is Your EVERYTHING!
It has been a terrible week here at home. If you read my article, you know we have a Toy Poodle named Pepper. He is 14 and a half years old and would be 15 in June. He has been up and down health wise, particularly since November 2025. He was drinking, and we were giving him his medicine, but he would not eat. He had not eaten for five days. I spoke with the vet in Jackson, and he had just gone to see the vet and had lab work done. His white blood cell count was up, and he was given antibiotics. We went on Tuesday afternoon to the vet again and helped him go to Rainbow Bridge. I am devastated. We are never prepared for the finality of a loved one, friend or furbaby. He was about the same age as our son Nick was when he was killed.
Pepper was my emotional support pet. He was my therapy pet and Velcro boy. I sure would appreciate any prayers sent our way to recover from another loss. The longer we live, the more we lose, but I am thankful for everyday and every blessing. God is so good, and even in the valley, He is with us. Thanks in advance for caring.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. God bless.
Happy birthday to Karsyn Knipper and Glenn Harris, 3-30, Claire Garrison and Jennifer Williams, 4-1.
Prayer requests for Linda Barham, Bobby Bray, Regina Brooks, Rachel Ellington, Carolyn Goff, Darren Hatch, Danny Hodges, Pat and Don Jones, Sarah Maness Lindsey, Julia Parchman, Delores Perkins, Pam Priddy, Jimmy Redden, Milt Tobey, John Webb and Natalie Wray. Also, remember our first responders, military, firefighters and law enforcement officers.
“I give every situation in my life to You - both good and bad circumstances - and trust You to help me with them all. I praise You for Your love and wisdom which You offer me in any circumstances. Thank You for walking beside me on my journey through life, in both the hills and valleys of life’s ups and downs.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
