Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Saturday was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies and a very slight breeze noted. Our tulip tree is still in bloom, and the Bradford pears are now mostly leaves. Trees are slowly greening up. I read to begin putting hummingbird feeders out around April 1. The weather forecast looks pretty good for later in the week after the storms and strong winds Sunday evening followed by freeze watches earlier in the week. We were blessed to not have any major damage from the storms.
Tuesday was St. Patrick’s Day. It is a multifaceted holiday that combines religious, cultural and historical commemoration. It marks the death date of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, who is credited with bringing Christianity to the country in the fifth century. The Shamrock was used by St. Patrick to teach Christian doctrines. I hope everyone wore something green.
The Chester County schools will be out March 20 for staff development, and spring break will be March 23-27. I know everyone is looking forward to it, and I hope the weather will be beautiful.
