Hello to all from this little corner of the world. Saturday was mostly cloudy and chilly with the temperature at 50 degrees and the windchill at 45 degrees. Sunday night and Monday night were cold with lows of 19 and 18 degrees predicted. We have a lot of buds on our tulip tree, and our Bradford Pears are beginning to bud. I sure hope these two cold nights did not hurt them.
We went to Finger Saturday afternoon to support their volunteer fire department and enjoyed the fundraiser they put on several times a year. They had catfish, fried chicken strips, BBQ chicken, slaw, onion, rolls, hushpuppies, baked beans and desserts to choose from. They had a great attendance. They are on Facebook as Finger Fire Dept. if you would like to follow them for the next event. As we were traveling toward Finger, we noticed the construction at Estes Church of Christ appears finished, and I must say it looks very pretty.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. God bless.

Somebody Loves You: SOMEBODY LOVES YOU more than you know/SOMEBODY GOES WITH YOU wherever you go/SOMEBODY REALLY and TRULY CARES/and LOVINGLY LISTENS TO ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS/Don’t doubt for a minute that this is not true/For GOD loves HIS CHILDREN and takes care of them, too/And all of HIS TREASURES are yours to share/If you love HIM completely and show HIM you care/And if you “WALK IN HIS FOOTSTEPS” and have the FAITH to BELIEVE/There’s nothing you ask for that you will not receive!” – Helen Steiner Rice
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news. People from here and those who have moved from our area but still want to keep in touch through the newspaper are hungry for news from home.
Until next week, Happy Trails to You.
