Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The temperature on Sunday was 52 degrees, and the sky was overcast. We sure have an interesting weather forecast ahead. The highs range from 45 to 71 degrees for the next 10 days, and the lows are from 25 to 62 degrees at night. Now, if this is not some random, swinging temperatures for the middle of January, I do not know what it is. I had an enjoyable birthday, and my husband’s is later this month. I am Capricorn, and he is Aquarius. I wonder how many couples have the same birth month…probably more than I would think.
Bobby Russ preached at Friendship Baptist Church on Sunday. Bro. Glenn Harris has retired. He was there with his family. I am sure it is nice to sit and listen to another preacher at times. We, of course, are going through a transition at church. There are changes in life every day. We continue in this journey with God’s guidance. His will and His time. We invite everyone to our church. Sermon is at 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday night service is 6:30 p.m. with Kids Zone added. On Sunday night, the service is discipleship training at 5:30 p.m. and sermon at 6:30 p.m.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones. The New Year begins, and we do the best we can with the Lord’s help. Try and take one day at a time and give thanks for each day the Lord gives you. Life itself is difficult to say the least. It is hard, and it may sound crazy, but helping others and trying to stay busy helps. I hope this is a blessed year for everyone. God bless.
Happy birthday to Kynleigh Butler, 1-7; Curt McKinney, 1-8; and Doris Rowlett, 1-10.
“My number one goal in life is to hear Jesus say, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant.’ You can go 40 days without food, three days without water, but you cannot live a second without God. May those who feel broken find healing, May the weary find rest and the sick regain their strength. May hearts weighed down by sadness discover hope again. May the lonely feel loved, the hungry be fed, and may peace take root and grow throughout our world.” – Tina Charlene Luker
