Hello to all from this little corner of the world. The sky was light gray on Saturday with a slight chance of rain this week. The temperature was 83 degrees and felt like 85 degrees. In other words, it felt wonderful outside! I asked those who wanted to pray with me for rain to do so, and God certainly heard the prayers! I was so happy when I heard thunder this past Thursday. I was laughing and praising God with thankfulness! I could not have been any happier. The heat and long drought were draining. I knew prayers would be answered! We must pray and believe! The temperatures for this week are in the 80’s and low 90’s with nighttime temperatures in the low 70’s. Sounds wonderful to me if the humidity stays low. The weather has been unusual over most of the country.
Well, school is back in session. I hope everyone has an enjoyable year and learns a lot. I am older, but we should never stop learning. Learning makes life interesting. There is always something new to learn. Be happy. We all have problems, but we can find something to be happy about most days. Helping others takes your mind off your own problems. Do NOT let anything others say or do make you unhappy. Remember this – if they can upset you, then they have control. That is not acceptable. We have ONE life, and God wants us to live and be happy. God bless.
Condolences to all who have lost loved ones and prayers for all, including those who are suffering in any way.

“The Same” by Diane Ranker Riesen: “Each week, each month...each year has passed - and I’m still hurting - like the last. I’ve built a tolerance to my pain...but I still miss you just the same. Some say it gets easier - that time will ease your scar...but the truth is grief is endless…and it changes who you are. Sometimes the pain is not as sharp -your soul learns how to ‘bare’....but that emptiness down deep inside your heart is always there. There’d be no grief without such love - and, so I’ll carry on...Your memories are worth it all...they’ve helped me since you’re gone. And through my faith, I truly know that one day you’ll be here - right here. beside me...like before - and my questions will be cleared. ‘Til then, I’ll see you in my dreams...and watch you in my mind - although time takes so much from me, my memories will be kind. And in those special moments when I still can feel you close...is where I’ll find contentment - when I’m missing you the most.”
I pray you all have a wonderful week and may it be filled with love, joy, peace and blessings. Remember: if you have news, please email me at mimmiepots@gmail.com. I would truly appreciate any news.
