Henderson will join communities around the world in celebrating Make Music Day Sunday, June 21, with free live music throughout the town. There will be community singing on the courthouse lawn, open mic in the Besso’s alley and other activities.
The community-wide celebration invites musicians of all ages, skill levels and genres to perform in public spaces, parks, churches, local businesses, patios, porches and other gathering places. Local businesses and organizations are also encouraged to participate by serving as host venues for performances.
Participation is free for both performers and venues. Musicians and locations can register and coordinate through the Make Music Henderson Matching Site.
Make Music Day is designed to turn everyday spaces into stages while giving residents and visitors a chance to experience live music across the community.
