Local Author Tiffany Kennedy is one of 17 Tennessee Authors to be featured on WLJT-TV Channel 11 in the third season of their popular local author program, Tennessee Writes, premiered on Thursday, September 10 at 7 p.m. The program lets viewers see authors in a unique way with candid interviews about their lives, journey into writing, and a lightning round of quick questions.
Hosted and created by WLJT President & CEO, Peter Noll, Tennessee Writes, has already featured over two dozen authors from across Tennessee in previous seasons and available to stream on the PBS App. Season three features 17 new episodes with new authors.
“We’ve been amazed with the huge response WLJT has received from local authors wanting to be on Tennessee Writes,” says Noll, “We not only wanted to showcase local authors, but also inspire viewers to begin their own journey to become an author.”
Season 3’s Tennessee Writes features a wide genre of books and authors at different stages in their writing careers. This season’s authors include Savannah’s Ashley Kate Adams, Jared Sullivan, author of a nonfiction book about the industrial disaster in Kingston, Tennessee, and Mary Dixie Carter, daughter of Dixie Carter, who has written two novels.
“We book a wide variety of authors on the show, from those just starting out with their first books and self-publishing, to established bestselling authors who work with publishers, says WLJT Producer, Baily Luther, “We also features a wide range of books that appeal to everyone.”
Tennessee Writes’ first episode of season three is available to watch on the PBS App and on westtnpbs.org now.
