The Chester County Lady Eagles volleyball team had a strong week, picking up wins over North Side and South Side.
On Tuesday, Chester County rolled past North Side in three straight sets, 25-9, 25-8, and 25-11. The Lady Eagles controlled the pace from the opening serve and never let up. Head Coach Emily Ellis said she was pleased with her team’s focus.
“I am proud of our team for continuing to play their game and being ready for anything on the court. We continue to grow every game!” Ellis said.
One night later, the Eagles were back home for Senior Night against South Side. In front of a big home crowd, Chester County came out sharp and took the first two sets, 25-14 and 25-19. South Side battled back in the third set and slipped past the Eagles 27-25, but Chester County responded in the fourth, closing out the match with a 25-15 win.
“We had a great night honoring our seniors! We had a great crowd come out to support! We jumped out of the first two sets and played well, and then in the third set we got in a slump. Fourth set the girls fought all the way and came out with a win, and I am so proud of our team!” Ellis said.
The Lady Eagles now turn their attention to the final stretch of the season with momentum on their side. They are 9-1 overall, 9-0 in district play.
