Lady Eagles season ends in Region Tournament loss

Posted

The Chester County Lady Eagles saw their season come to a close Monday night, falling to Creek Wood in straight sets (16–25, 22–25, 8–25) in the regional tournament.
Chester County battled hard through the first two sets but couldn’t overcome the early momentum of a disciplined Creek Wood squad. The Lady Eagles showed flashes of their usual energy and teamwork, but struggled to settle in as the match went on.
“Tonight’s game didn’t go how we wanted it to,” said Head Coach Emily Ellis. “We didn’t play our usual game, and I think our nerves got the best of us.”
Although the loss was tough, Ellis reflected with pride on what her team accomplished this season. “I am so proud of this team and how much they have grown this year,” she said. “These girls not only grew as a team, but they also wanted to grow individually. They always ask what they can do to get better, and they apply it. We worked hard to make it past district, and we made it — we just didn’t get the ending we wanted. I’m so proud of all of these girls and can’t wait to see all that they accomplish in the future.”
The Lady Eagles conclude the season with a strong showing in the postseason and a solid foundation for even more success next year.
