The Chester County High School Lady Eagles split a pair of matches last week, falling 2-0 to Huntingdon on Tuesday before bouncing back with a 2-1 victory over Adamsville on Thursday.
In Tuesday’s loss, Emma Easley turned in an outstanding defensive performance with several key stops and plays. Goalkeeper Kendall Cherry also had a strong game, recording numerous saves and helping keep the Lady Eagles within striking distance.
Chester County responded with a hard-fought victory Thursday. Miley Cupples sent a cross into the box that Lucy Deweese finished for the Lady Eagles’ first goal.
In the final minutes, Easley assisted Alyssa Jenkins on the deciding goal to secure the 2-1 victory.
With the win, the Lady Eagles improved to 4-2 on the season.
