The Chester County Junior High basketball teams continued their season this week with three nights of action that featured buzzer-beaters, comebacks and strong fourth-quarter finishes.
Monday vs. Jackson Christian (Home)
The Lady Eagles dramatically opened the week, edging Jackson Christian 26–23 thanks to a clutch three-pointer at the buzzer by Gracelynn Geary. The boys followed with their own comeback, rallying late to defeat the visiting Eagles 38–32 in front of an excited home crowd.
Tuesday at Decatur County
The Lady Eagles struggled on the road against a tough Decatur County squad, falling behind early and unable to recover. The boys’ game, however, was a thriller — after trailing by 11 points entering the fourth quarter, the Eagles stormed back to win 50–45, showing poise and determination down the stretch.
Thursday at Lexington
The Lady Eagles regained momentum, taking control in the fourth quarter to secure a 35–25 victory. The boys fought hard but came up short, dropping their matchup 47–27 against a talented Lexington team.
Both teams will look to continue improving as the season progresses. The Eagles will travel to Adamsville on November 10 and to Savannah Christian on November 13.
