Greetings to the people of Chester County everywhere! This is a new week and a new year, and I give thanks to the Lord for being with you in your home, at your job or wherever you find time to read the paper. It is truly a blessing to be part of your life. “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!” I hope you are enjoying the New Year.
How was your week? I hope and pray it was a great one. And if your week was not good for whatever reason, remember this: you have the power to turn it around and make it better even with everything going on.
Some of you wanted to know why I did not have my article in the paper. The reason why is that I took some time out of my busy schedule to spend time with my family. We had a blessed time celebrating the reason for the season – the birth of our Savior! I hope you did the same.
Well, 2025 is gone, and 2026 has arrived. What does it bring? It brings a great opportunity to renew our faith and love for God, Country and each other! According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, “…the old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” Let us release the bitterness and frustrations of the past year. Let us know that God loves us and wants the best for us. Let us pray that the New Year will be a change focused on healing the land and ourselves. This is one of my prayers for the year 2026.
Dec. 28, the last Sunday of the year, our daughter spoke on A New Year Resolution or A New Year Revelation. One is made with flesh, and one is with the Spirit of the Lord. It was an eye-opening message. Most resolutions that people make are never kept, but the Word of God always keeps His promises! I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful new year!
On Jan. 2, a certain couple will celebrate their 50th year Wedding Anniversary. This couple met 51 years ago in Oceanside, Calif., and knew it was love at first sight. They have three beautiful daughters and one handsome son. Yes, we are keeping the HONEY IN THE MOON! We pray the Lord will bless us to be together for many more years. I am so proud to be the wife of this wonderful man. I took out some time to do this column while we are celebrating our anniversary in New Orleans, La.! Yes, I do love you all.

On our prayer list this week is our country and the President! Remember also to pray for our children, our teachers, our family, the sick and shut in and our men and women that are serving our country. The City of Henderson sends condolences to the family of Diana Ross Borner. Her sister Valerie is asking to pray for the family during this time in the loss of her sister.
To the people of Henderson remember to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can.
