Hello from Enville! I hope everyone is having a great week! The weather was pretty on Monday as I wrote this news, but we were expecting rain and storms for Tuesday and Wednesday. I hope you all stayed safe! Warmer temperatures are feeling great! We bought vegetables plants, so maybe we will get them in the ground soon.
The Enville Volunteer Fire Department is having their annual barbecue this Saturday, May 9. They will begin serving at 10 a.m. There will be barbecue pork, chicken and bologna along with ribs available by preorder. There will also be a bake sale. Come and get your Mother’s Day meal, so mom can have a day out of the kitchen and enjoy her special day.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10. I hope you all get to spend the day with your mom. We do not have our mothers, but our children/family will spend the day with Danny and me. We always enjoy our children!
We had decorations at Woodlawn and Mars Hill and will go to Milledgeville Sunday afternoon. The second Sunday is a busy day for lots of us; also in our area was decoration at Sweetlips Cemetery.
It was so good to see our friend Don Thompson at church Sunday. He lives in Corinth now, but he is still a member of Sanford Hill Baptist. We hope to see him again soon!
Our granddaughter Reece and the Chester County High School Softball team are playing their district tournaments in Savannah. We wish you luck! Praying for safety for all teams who are playing!
Happy birthday to Tarecia Shelton on May 7. Enjoy your special day, Cuz!
Please pray for Braylin Robinson, the young man who got injured at the baseball game Friday night, as well as all his teammates and family. Pray for Aiden Culpepper, Harold Maness, Robert Smith, Robert Johnson, Tommy and Linda Wade, James Vinson, Harold and Carolyn Wright, Rick and Julie Ooley, Mary Lou Avent, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Kaye Killingsworth, Joan Massey, Nita Middleton, Mike Finley, Chris Fletcher, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country and, as always each other.
