Hello from Enville! Thanksgiving is upon us, and I hope you all get to spend it with family and friends, eating all your favorite Thanksgiving foods and desserts.
By the time it is over, our household will have feasted three times. We will be so full of turkey and pumpkin pie that we will be sitting around – some watching games or napping, and some will be passing around the Black Friday circulars and talking about Christmas shopping. We all enjoy each other and the fellowship.
Celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, Thanksgiving is a federal holiday that originated as a harvest festival revolving around giving thanks with the centerpiece of being a Thanksgiving dinner. Remember to be thankful for what you are blessed with not only on Thanksgiving but each and every day. Please remember those who are lonely and maybe take them a Thanksgiving plate!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Mollie Marchbanks, Cheri Hutcherson and Tommy Wade on Nov. 24 and Rachel Gilham on Nov. 29. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Lisa Bishop, Anita Needler, Vicki Dickson, Amanda Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Agnes and Robert Smith, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Robert and Linda Johnson, Janice and Janice Keen, Sherry Webb, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Loretta Plunk, Jean Pickett, James Vinson, Jimmy Robertson, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, Mike Finley, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Lee Trice, Clint Murley, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, our county and country and, as always, each other.
If anyone wants to rent the community center, call Pat Cates at 688-5125, or if you have news to share or someone to add to the prayer list, call me at 608-3058.
Have a blessed week, everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving!
