Early Voting began July 17 in Chester County with an opening day turnout of 115 voters. As of Monday evening, a total of 299 voters had cast their ballot locally, with 257 in person and 42 by mail. Of those, 247 voted in the Republican Primary and 36 cast their vote for the Democratic Primary.
Voters in this election cycle may vote in the local general election and either the State Republican Primary or State Democratic Primary. Go to https://votechestercountytn.gov/ballot/ to see sample ballots prior to heading to the polls.
Early voting continues through August 1, at 126 Crook Ave., in Henderson. The polls are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.; Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Election Day is August 6, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Local voters are urged to double check their voting precinct for Election Day, as some locations have changed.
