Posted

Chester County Junior High capped off a perfect week on the diamond with wins over LMS on Tuesday and Trinity Christian on Thursday.
Tuesday vs. LMS
Trailing 3–0 in the third, the Eaglettes roared back behind Tayte Whitman’s home run over the left-field fence. The shot ignited a five-run inning highlighted by extra-base hits from Makenah Carnell, Lizzie Patterson, and Karsyn Reynolds.
Reynolds led the offense with three hits and three RBIs, while Carnell and Patterson added key run-scoring swings. In the circle, Whitman earned the win with four strikeouts before Patterson closed with two scoreless frames to secure the 9–3 victory.
Thursday vs. Trinity Christian
The Eaglettes edged Trinity 7–6 in a back-and-forth battle. Karleigh Beth White broke a tie in the third with a two-run double, and Chester County took advantage of miscues in the fourth to pull back in front for good.
Stella Pickens struck out five over four and a third innings and also went 2-for-3 at the plate. Natalie Hurst worked in relief to finish the win.
“We didn’t have our best day at the plate, but we got the key hits we needed,” Head Coach Wes Murphy said. “Thankfully, it was enough to get the job done. Stella was key in this game in pitching and at the plate.”
Looking Ahead
With contributions up and down the lineup and clutch pitching performances, the Eaglettes continue to show the depth that will carry them through the season.
