It was a two-game week for the Chester County Junior High Eaglettes, highlighted by a strong home win on Eighth Grade Night before closing the week with a road matchup at TCA.
MONDAY: Chester Co. 40, Whiteville 9
The Eaglettes opened the week with a commanding 40–9 victory over Whiteville, giving their home crowd plenty to celebrate on Eighth Grade Night.
Chester County stormed out to a 15–1 lead after the first quarter and extended the margin to 28–1 by halftime with disciplined defense and steady scoring. Whiteville added four points in the third quarter — including two scored in the wrong basket — but Chester Co. still held a 36–5 lead heading into the fourth under a running clock. The Eaglettes closed out the game to secure the 40–9 win and honor their eighth graders with a memorable performance.
THURSDAY: TCA 33, Chester Co. 17
On Thursday, the Eaglettes traveled to Trinity Christian Academy, where they fell 33–17 despite a resilient effort.
Chester County trailed 19–6 after the opening period, with all six of the Eaglettes’ points coming from Amilli Eanes. Chester Co. battled in the second quarter but still faced a 25–8 deficit at halftime. The Eaglettes made a small push in the third to cut the margin to 29–15, but TCA closed out the fourth to hand Chester County the loss.
