The Chester County Eaglettes put together a strong weekend and finished third in the Buffalo River Springfest Tournament.
Chester County opened play Friday with an 11-3 win over East Hickman County. Jillian Patterson led the way, going 3-for-4 with five RBIs. She drove in runs in the first, second, and fifth innings as the Eaglettes built an early lead and never looked back. Addison Newland and Brentlee Burgess each added four hits in the win.
The Eaglettes followed that with a 17-0 win over Halls. Georganna Pickens had a big game, collecting three hits and driving in five runs. Chester County broke the game open with an 11-run second inning, with contributions throughout the lineup.
On Saturday, the Eaglettes picked up a 5-2 win over Zion Christian. Reece Collins hit a solo home run, and Aayla Howell, Addison Newland, and Lyndsey Graves each drove in a run. Chester County also played clean defensively and did not commit an error.
Chester County added a 4-0 win over Hickman County later in the day. Patterson drove in two runs with a double, and Pickens added an RBI hit. The Eaglettes combined for a shutout in the circle.
In a 7-4 win over Hardin County, Howell led the offense with six RBIs, including a home run, a triple, and a double. Addy Parker picked up the win in relief.
The Eaglettes dropped a close 3-2 game to Tipton-Rosemark and later fell 5-1 to Milan to close out the tournament.
Chester County finished the weekend 4-2 and placed third overall.
