Eaglettes fall just short against McNairy Central

The Chester County Eaglettes rallied late but came up just short in a 5-4 loss to McNairy Central on Thursday night.
McNairy Central took an early lead, scoring two runs in the second inning and building a 4-0 advantage before the Eaglettes fought their way back into the game.
Chester County answered in the fourth inning, putting together a four-run rally to tie things up. Aayla Howell got the inning started with an RBI single, and the Eaglettes took advantage of an error to plate another run. Addison Newland drove in a run on a groundout, and Georganna Pickens added a sacrifice fly to even the score at 4-4.
McNairy Central regained the lead in the fifth inning and held on from there despite continued pressure from the Eaglettes.
Karsyn Knipper led Chester County at the plate with two hits. Howell, Newland, Leura Rowsey, and Pickens each drove in a run in the loss.
In the circle, Addy Parker started and worked four innings, while Jillian Patterson came on in relief.
Chester County also turned two double plays defensively..
