The Chester County Eaglettes wrapped up the regular season with a stretch that showed steady improvement, highlighted by a Senior Night win over rival Lexington and a convincing road victory at North Side.
Senior Night had a different feel from the start. Chester County came out focused and played with purpose, pulling away late for a 42–36 win over Lexington in front of the home crowd.
The game stayed tight early. The Eaglettes led 8–7 after the first quarter and took a 19–16 advantage into halftime. Neither team gave much ground in the third quarter, with Chester County holding a slim 27–26 lead heading into the fourth.
That’s where the seniors took over.
Kloe Taylor controlled the paint down the stretch, scoring through contact and coming up with key offensive rebounds when Chester County needed extra possessions. Carly Young gave the Eaglettes some breathing room early in the fourth by knocking down a corner 3 that swung momentum. The defense followed, limiting Lexington’s chances late.
Taylor finished with 20 points in her final home game. Savannah Williams added 7.
Two nights later, Chester County took that same confidence on the road to North Side and turned in one of its most complete performances of the season, rolling to a 66–33 win.
The Eaglettes led 16–10 after the first quarter, then blew the game open in the second. Chester County hit four 3-pointers in the quarter and went into halftime with a 42–10 lead. The gap continued to grow after the break as the Eaglettes pushed the lead to 52–26 heading into the fourth.
Taylor led the way with 26 points. Williams scored 13, including three shots from deep, and Alexis Rivers added 12 points with two 3-pointers of her own.
Chester County closed the week with a road loss at South Side, falling 63–30. The game was tied 7–7 after one quarter, but South Side pulled away in the second and continued to extend the lead in the second half. Taylor scored 16 points, and Esther Osburn added 6.
The regular season came to an end Monday night with a 55–41 loss at McNairy Central. Chester County trailed 15–10 after one quarter and 28–16 at halftime before McNairy Central stretched the lead in the third. Taylor finished with 23 points, while Osburn and Rivers scored 8 each.
