The Chester County Eagles picked up another win Friday night, defeating Scotts Hill 8–5.
Chester County struck first in the opening inning when Lane Estes singled to bring home the game’s first run. Scotts Hill answered in the second to tie the game, but the Eagles quickly regained control in the bottom half of the inning.
Ethan Rhodes drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and hits by Estes and Braylin Robison helped push across additional runs as Chester County built a 4–1 lead.
Scotts Hill battled back to tie the game at five in the sixth inning, but the Eagles responded immediately. Jaden Weaver doubled down the right field line to spark the rally, and Robison added another hit as Chester County scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good.
The Eagles finished the night with 12 hits. Robison, Ethan Burks, Heath Stewart, Estes and Rhodes each collected two hits. Robison and Estes drove in two runs apiece.
Ross Hopper got the start on the mound for Chester County, working three innings and allowing one hit and three runs, none of them earned. Tage Hill turned in two scoreless innings of relief, striking out four. Rhodes earned the win after pitching the final two innings.
