The Chester County Eagles took the field Friday night for their second preseason scrimmage, squaring off against JCM. The night featured bright spots on both sides of the ball, but overall consistency remained a challenge.
One of the clear highlights came from senior kicker Linkin Phillips, who drilled two long field goals to put points on the board for the Eagles. Offensively, Chester County moved the ball at times but struggled to sustain drives, while the defense delivered some timely stops but also gave up big plays at key moments.
Head Coach Dewond Johnson summed up the night simply: “We got to get better, that’s all I really got to say. In all phases we must get better.”
With the jamboree approaching, the Eagles will look to build on their bright moments and sharpen execution across the board as the regular season draws closer.
