The Chester County Eagles closed out their football season Thursday night with a tough 48–3 loss to the visiting North Side Indians in the regular-season finale at Eagle Stadium. The night also served as Senior Night, honoring the upperclassmen who have led the program on and off the field this year.
North Side jumped out early, scoring twice in the opening quarter to take a 14–0 lead. The Indians extended their advantage to 21–0 midway through the second before Chester County finally got on the board when senior Linkin Phillips drilled a 50-yard field goal with 1:56 remaining in the half — a highlight moment for the senior kicker. North Side quickly answered to make it 34–3 at halftime and added two more scores in the second half to seal the 48–3 win.
Head Coach Dewond Johnson reflected on the season’s end:
“Very disappointed that our season has to end in this fashion, but it happens. We’ll take our two weeks off and then get back to work.”
The Eagles finish the 2025 season with a 2–8 record, looking to build on the experience and leadership shown by this year’s senior class.
