Eagles enter new region with high hopes for 2025 season

Posted

With the 2025 high school football season just around the corner, the Chester County Eagles are gearing up for what they hope will be a breakout year in a brand-new region. The Eagles will compete in Region 6-4A, which welcomes Crockett County and Dyer County into the fold—setting the stage for fresh rivalries and tougher competition.
Head coach Dewond Johnson says the team is embracing the challenge and is hungry to begin a streak of postseason appearances.
“As always, we want to play a fast and physical style of football,” he said, highlighting the team’s identity heading into the fall.
The Eagles return a strong core of experienced talent on both sides of the ball. Leading the offense is quarterback Ethan Burks, who will look to build on last year’s momentum. He’ll be supported by a pair of explosive two-way players—Jayden Williams (WR/LB) and Gavin Moody (RB/LB)—who bring versatility and toughness to the field.
Up front, linemen Jacob Valladares and Cayden Talley will anchor the trenches, while tight end/defensive end Landon Alexander adds size and athleticism on both sides. In the secondary, Braylin Robinson (WR/DB) will play a key role in keeping opposing offenses in check while also contributing as a deep threat.
With a solid mix of veteran leadership and hungry young talent, Chester County fans have reason to be optimistic as the Eagles begin their 2025 campaign.
