Eagles close out season with big win over Bolivar

Posted

The Chester County Junior High Eagles finished their season Tuesday night with a statement win, rolling past Bolivar 46–6 on the road.
The Eagles went three-and-out on their first series, but the defense immediately set the tone. A forced fumble gave Chester County the ball at the Bolivar 41. Jsean Austin cashed it in with a one-yard run and added the two-point conversion for an 8–0 lead.
On Bolivar’s next possession, Trey Mann broke through for a sack. The very next play, the ball came loose again. Austin recovered, and on the first snap that followed, quarterback Maddox Lewis hit him over the middle for a 38-yard touchdown. Austin ran in the conversion to make it 16–0.
The defense continued to swarm. Zaylin Pugh and Braylen Stewart had back-to-back tackles for loss before Austin ripped the ball away from a runner and sprinted 30 yards for another score. Talon Clayton tacked on the two points, stretching the lead to 24–0.
Bolivar tried to move the ball with a long pass, but Brett Wilson stripped it and Lewis fell on the fumble. One play later, Lewis dropped a pop pass to Austin, who turned it into a 61-yard touchdown. Tristan Pereda added the conversion, and the Eagles went into halftime up 32–0.
Bolivar got on the board early in the third quarter, but the Eagles answered right back with another touchdown and conversion to make it 40–6. The JV group closed it out in the fourth. Quarterback Bray Crouse connected with Ryan Diaz for a 14-yard touchdown to seal the 46–6 win.
Chester County finished the season 4–3, ending with a dominant performance on the road.
