The Chester County Eagles faced a challenging two-game road stretch last week, falling to Hardin County on Tuesday before coming up just short in a hard-fought contest at Lexington on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the Eagles dropped a 46–26 decision at Hardin County. The Tigers built an early lead, going up 13–3 after the first quarter and extending the margin to 25–7 at halftime. Chester County showed improved energy in the second half, scoring 19 points over the final two quarters, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome. Elam Murphy led the Eagles with 14 points, including three 3-pointers. Jaden Williams and Jasce Alexander each added 4 points, while Jay Brown and Jaden Weaver scored 2 points apiece. Chester County played without Lane Estes, who was sidelined due to an ankle injury.
On Thursday, the Eagles nearly bounced back with a road win at Lexington but fell 49–41 in a game that remained competitive until the final minutes. Chester County led 32–23 at halftime and remained ahead with just over two minutes left. However, several key players fouled out late, and Lexington took advantage down the stretch to secure the 8-point victory. Jaden Williams led Chester County with 16 points, followed by Elam Murphy with 11 and Jaden Weaver with 10. Jasce Alexander added 4 points.
Despite the two losses, the Eagles showed fight and resilience on the road and will look to regroup as they continue district play. Chester County will travel to North Side on Jan. 27 and South Side on Jan. 30.
