Good morning from Deanburg!
I hope all the children are happy to be back with their school friends. Please drive carefully around schools and obey the bus signals. They are hauling precious cargo.
Continue to pray for the bereaved, the shut-ins and the lonely. Also, pray for Dixie Mays in Henderson Rehab; Nancy Rush at Memory Care; Cora Rose; Lisa Mayfield; Judy and Bill Loftis; Brenda Collins; Tony Concialdi; Mary Dell Gilchrist; Dot Bratcher; Carolyn Goff; Ann Lowrance; JoLiene Harris; Shirley Mainers; Jamie Gunn; Blake Wood; Lisa Massengill; Casey Cupples; Travis Middleton; Katrina Arnold; Greg Hilton; and Chelsea Rodriguez, my granddaughter at Vanderbilt.
Deanburg Community Club met on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. to enjoy snacks, desserts and, most of all, ice cream. Then, we played Bingo, which is always fun. We do this every summer. We had a lot of people there, but we wish more would attend. The next monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 2.
Deanburg Baptist Church is pleased to announce Clint Burkhead will be preaching at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17. If you do not have a home church, you should attend. You will be blessed.
Happy Birthday to the following: Kenny Mays, Aug. 16; Phillip Mays, Aug. 17; Richard Mainers and Peyton Rowland, Aug. 18; Dot Bratcher and Kim Ross, Aug. 19; Judy Loftis, Aug. 22; Dale Rose, Aug. 24; and Michelle Julian, Aug. 25.
Happy Anniversary to Bob and Norma Tulley, Aug. 20.
Call 731-988-5122 with announcements, birthdays or other news. Until next time, take care!
