City of Henderson to discuss locating a food truck downtown

Mayor Bobby King and the City of Henderson aldermen will meet for their August meeting at 7 p.m. this evening, August 11, at city hall.
During delegations, they will discuss locating a food truck on the closed alley next to the Sue Shelton White Park downtown.
The mayor and board of aldermen will also accept the resignation of Fire Chief Greg Lipford and discuss the process of filling the vacant position.
Other items on the agenda include:

• Consider an ordinance on the final reading amending the 2022-2023 Budget to correct an omission in the Police Department Budget concerning the equipment purchase line item.
• Discuss and approve the City Employee’s Health Insurance matching rate effective Jan 1.
• Discuss and consider an ordinance amending Title 5, Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code pertaining to “Purchasing”.
• Consider purchase of attachments for the Utility Dept Skid Loader.
• Report on Service Transportation Block Grant (STBG) W. Main Street Project
