Out of the 13 games the CCJHS Eagles baseball team has played so far this season, the team has only allowed 8 runs from all of their opposing teams combined. All season long the team has held strong to their motto: “All G.R.I.T. (Get Results In It Together) No Quit.” On Monday night, pitcher Eli Hutcherson led his teammates to the field. With a one-two-three top of the first, the Eagles returned to the dugout and prepared to keep the bats and cleats hot. Batter after batter, the Eagles continued to circle the bases and put on what seemed more like a baseball clinic than a game. The Eagles continued to show up and show out all night long as the hits soared and the fans roared. With a final score of 10-0, it was a 3-inning shutout by the Varsity. JV pitcher Will Ratcliff, along with his incredible teammates, didn’t let the momentum stop. The JV team ended their game with a final score of 13-0 2-inning shutout. The Eagles dedicated both of these wins to two difference makers at CCJHS, Amanda Roberts and Amber Murley. Pictued are a few CCJHS Baseball players top to bottom: Jaden Weaver, Will Ratcliff and Landon Langford.
