With a record of 7-1-1, the Chester County Eagles Soccer team earned themselves another win last week over McNairy.
The Eagles started off slow in the first half without scoring any goals, but the McNairy Bobcats did not score any goals either, so it was still anyone’s game when the second half came around.
The Eagles then flipped the switch and put it in high gear.
Chase Pickett was able to kick the ball past McNairy’s goalkeeper to put the first goal on the scoreboard with around 31 minutes left in the game.
Chris Wilger bumped up the Eagles’ score up to 2-0 with around 25 minutes on the clock.
After continually pushing the pushing the ball to the goal during the second half, Jacob Robinson was bound to get himself a goal, and he did so with 17 minutes left giving his team a 3-0 lead.
At that point the Bobcats had little time left to do anything. They did score one goal with 3:09 left, but that was it.
When the buzzer sounded the Eagles sealed themselves a 3-1 win on senior night.
With just three regular season matches left on their opponents’ turf, at the start of this week, they are in good position.
They played JCS on Tuesday and the other two matches are against Lexington and Crockett County.
Eagles Soccer begin the district postseason May 8.
