Early voting numbers decrease from 2018
Last Saturday, July 30, was the last day to cast your vote early in the August 4 Election which is today. Chester County Administrator of Elections, Kathy Vest, says that the total amount from early voting is behind compared to the 2018 election. In 2018, at total of 1,973 Chester County residents voted early. This year, only 1,869 residents cast their ballot in early voting. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pictured are candidates running for the two contested Chester County official positions, Chester County Mayor and the Chester County General Sessions Judge. Incumbent Chester County Mayor Barry Hutcherson runs against former Chester County Mayor Dwain Seaton. In the office of the general session judge, Angela Scott competes against Jay Johnson.
