The Chester County High School Lady Eagles battled Crockett County to a 0-0 tie Thursday night behind a strong defensive effort.
Goalkeeper Kendall Cherry delivered an outstanding performance, recording 18 saves to keep Crockett County off the scoreboard and preserve the shutout.
Chester County’s defense held firm throughout the match, turning away scoring opportunities and helping the Lady Eagles earn the draw. Lucy Deweese recorded Chester County’s lone shot on goal.
Neither team was able to break through before the final whistle as the Lady Eagles finished the night with a clean sheet.
